Wrong Place, Right Time

The moral of this story I'm going to tell you, is that it's okay to be in the wrong place at the right time. A lot of entrepreneurs I work with, club operators, studio operators, talk about "Ah this location. . . it didn't turn out the way I wanted it to" or whatever. But, you know, there are 4,000 members, and there's 20 staff members, and there's personal trainers, and group exercise instructors, that would give you a contrarian view that this place actually was a great investment, even though it wasn't theirs, it was yours.
I was in the airport today at Las Vegas Airport, and I was on Southwest, and I was supposed to be at Gate C14, but I misread my ticket on Southwest that it was gate B33. So after getting a large Peanut Butter Moo'd ice shake, I walked to the wrong gate and I stopped next to the people walker to call my Chief Of Staff, Rosa Alaimo Quinn.
And while we're on the call, a elderly Indian couple were exiting the street walker...the people walker. And Rohit fell and hit his head right on the concrete. And I was able to pick him up, put him in a chair, and use the half of my peanut butter moo that I did not drink yet as my ice pack, checked his pulse, talked him through, talked him down, got him breathing until the medic showed up.
So sometimes being in the wrong place at the right time is not a bad place to be. So help people out, don't be so critical of your mistakes, if you have any, because there's a silver lining to everything that's going on in life. Take it on experiments and making mistakes as part of life. Maybe there's a silver lining in what you're doing or what happened this weekend that you can also say, "Hey, that wasn't as bad as I thought it was." Have a good weekend. -Petey Mo
