Instead of just listing what they've done before, Barbara says they should tell a story.
Barbara thinks it's better to focus on making small changes instead of completely starting over. She suggests using skills from their old job in their new one.
For instance, if someone worked in technology but wants to switch careers, Barbara says they can still use their tech skills in the new job.
Likewise, if a marketer wants to become a salesperson, Barbara says they should highlight the skills they already have and how they can be useful in sales. She thinks it's important to show what they've achieved in a way that makes sense to potential employers.
