There are two reasons why people get into business.

Reason #1: They want to do their own thing, grow, and make money. This is a capitalist society after all. . .and one of the precepts of business is–well–to expand! Certainly not inherently a bad thing.

Reason #2: They found a solution to a problem and they have a strong desire to leave the world a better place than they found it. (Think B-Corp, non-profits, etc)

April Berg is firmly #2. They found deep within themselves the moral obligation to help victims of human trafficking via the Aruna Project.

When your core values are ones such as April’s, they become a powerful driving force that pushes her and her team to do more, and to help more people. Definitely check out her work and help to spread the word.
