Your core values are the foundation on which you built your business.

The products and services you offer/created are based on your core values. Never compromise on that.

Call it “branding,” or “Mission,” or “Core Values,” or whatever you’re comfortable with. Point is . . . these are what make you different from your competitors and give your company its identity–its DNA.

Move away from it and customers will notice. The core values shouldn’t change, regardless of how much pressure you may be under from investors or board members.

As a CEO or a Manager, it’s crucial you (in addition to your entire staff!) understand and “live” these values. There’s lots of lip service paid to this in the business literature, but it is incredibly difficult to do and maintain.
