In the realm of sports medicine, working with elite athletes, I've noticed a trend.

A trend that's not only surprising but also preventable.

Athletic trainers, the unsung heroes of the sports world, are often expected to do the work of an entire team.

It's a daunting task, and unfortunately, it's just the way the system is currently set up.

Consider this: we have athletes as young as 18, expected to perform at their peak for several years.

Yet, the focus on strength prevention and a comprehensive rehab protocol is often overlooked.

It's a challenge to plan for their futures, but I believe we can do better.

We need to think long-term, not just for the sake of their careers, but for their overall well-being.

At a young age, I found myself asking, "What about after this?"

They're expected to perform at an even higher level, and it's a lot of pressure.

That's when I fell in love with rehab.

It's not just about the here and now, but about ensuring a sustainable future for these young athletes.
